Webinar overview:

The NSCR provides authorised healthcare staff with secure, read-only access to key patient information aggregated from multiple care settings, including acute, primary, and community services. The strategic intent is straightforward: enabling clinicians and care teams to access trusted patient information at the point of care, improving continuity, reducing fragmentation, and supporting more informed decision-making across the system. This in turn will contribute to supporting Ireland’s compliance with European Health Data Space regulations.

Now, in its second release, the NSCR provides authorised healthcare staff access to:

  • Primary Care Reimbursement Scheme medications
  • GP requested laboratory results
  • GP requested radiology results
  • GP general referrals
  • Chronic disease management details
  • Discharge summaries
  • Statutory hospital appointments and inpatient and day case waiting lists
  • Hospital In-Patient Enquiry (HIPE) procedure details
  • National Immunisation Office vaccination records
