Please note: These FAQs will grow overtime as we add pharmacist's questions and the programme grows...So please check back regularly!
The programme will run for four- six months.
Yes, both mentors and mentees who are selected to be part of the programme will be provided with onboarding training and support resources to support them throughout the programme.
Yes, participation is optional and voluntary.
There will be application forms for mentees and mentors in the first tab on the How can I get involved? page.
If selected, you will be matched with a mentoring partner. Training will be provided the last week of May and you will be connected with your mentor by the start of June. This programme requires participants to commit to spending up to 3 hours a month from June with my mentoring partner or preparing/reflecting. On average, mentoring pairs in the pilot programme met for 60 min every 3 weeks. The programme is designed to be flexible so this can vary depending on what works for both of you.
Training will be provided before you meet your mentor or mentee. This training will cover the roles and responsibilities for mentors and mentees. The IIOP Mentoring Programme team will be there to support you throughout the programme. There will be scheduled check-ins and we are only a call or an email away if you need any support or have any questions.
As places are limited to 20 mentoring pairs, it may not be possible to select all pharmacists who are interested in getting involved. If you apply and are not selected this time, don’t lose heart, we plan on rolling out more programmes, which you may be able to get involved in.
