This webinar focused on leveraging the strengths of the multi-generational workplace. The guest speaker for this webinar was Dr. Mary Collins, who has been researching and writing about this topic for the past 10 years. The presenter emphasised the importance of respect and understanding different approaches in the workplace and provided examples of how feedback styles differ between younger and older generations. Dr. Mary E. Collins discussed the strong profile of the cohort consisting of Generation X and Generation Y in the workplace, noting that this is a relatively young profile in terms of professionalism, with 73% of the group under the age of 45. They also mentioned the clash between Generation X and Generation Y, despite being close in age, and highlighted the need for understanding and respect for different approaches.  Dr. Mary E. Collins discussed the mixing of generations in the workplace and potential areas where younger pharmacists may need mentoring, coaching, and support. They acknowledged ageism and double discrimination against older and female workers and emphasised the importance of cultivating and transferring enduring business wisdom. The audience for the webinar was predominantly made up of Generation X individuals.
