Surgical Affairs at RCSI has just launched a new Masters (MSc) in Human Factors in Patient Safety. This two-year part-time Masters is approved by RCSI, the National University of Ireland and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. It is positioned at Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications.
Tailored for those involved in the care of surgical patients, the Masters will be of interest to surgeons, radiologists, pharmacists, nurses, physiotherapists, and allied health professionals. It focuses on issues such as team-working, decision-making, leadership and enhancing efficiency, with the goal of minimising errors and improving patient safety.
