Spark is delighted to announce that applications are now open for the Spark Seed. This seed-funding opportunity runs twice a year and is designed to support frontline healthcare workers in bringing innovative ideas to life. Whether applicants are working on a new concept or refining a previous project, Spark Seed offers micro funding of up to €5,000 per individual or group to help them take the next step.

Applications are welcome from employees of the HSE and Section 38 who are:

  • Doctors (NCHDs and consultants)

  • Nurses and midwives

  • Health and Social Care Professionals (HSCPs)

  • Pharmacists

Applicants who have applied before are very welcome to apply again with a new idea. Spark Seed is about empowering those closest to care delivery to improve the health service in creative, meaningful ways. If someone has an idea that could make a difference, Spark would love to hear from them.
