As part of their role to protect the public, the PSI is responsible for handling complaints about registered pharmacists and pharmacies. They have three statutory Disciplinary Committees that are involved in considering complaints and these must include a mix of pharmacist and non-pharmacist members.
The PSI are seeking expressions of interest for appointments to be made to the following roles on their Disciplinary Committees:
1. Chairs/Acting Chairs for the three Disciplinary Committees. These roles are open to both pharmacists and non-pharmacists.
2. Registered pharmacists who are pharmacy owners for the three Disciplinary Committees. This includes pharmacists who are sole traders, directors or shareholders of a corporate body operating a pharmacy business.
Further information can be considered in the information booklet for each of the roles along with the application process on the PSI website here.
The closing date for receipt of applications is Thursday, 22 May.
The PSI are committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. The PSI believes that diverse and inclusive Disciplinary Committees impact positively on our work, and encourage you to consider these positions or share awareness of these opportunities with those who may be interested.
All shortlisted candidates will be placed on a panel, from which vacancies on the Disciplinary Committees will be filled when they arise.
Please email eoi@psi.ie if you have any questions.
