You are kindly invited to attend the upcoming academic seminar, 'Improving Access to Rare Medicines - A Joint Procurement Solution'.
The purpose of the event is to bring together key stakeholders for an informal and friendly discussion on the potential use of pan-European procurements of rare medicines. The seminar will present findings from an Irish Research Council funded project conducted in partnership with the charity, Rare Diseases Ireland. This seminar will discuss the potential benefits of collaborating rather than competing with other European Member States to purchase orphan medicines. Speakers include Vicky McGrath from Rare Diseases Ireland, Emma McEvoy, Dublin City University, Jim McGrath, Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association, and Michelle Levene, SMA Ireland.
This will be an interactive, knowledge exchange event with an extended Q&A, ensuring that attendees get the most out of the session.
WHEN: 27th May, 12pm – 2pm (Lunch will be provided)
