A group of 37 Peer Support Pharmacists (PSPs) have been appointed to act as a liaison between the Institute and the profession.  Throughout 2014 the PSPs will host meetings with small groups of pharmacists to promote the Institute and to support pharmacists with implementation of the new CPD model.

On Friday 7th and Saturday 8th February the Irish Institute of Pharmacy (IIoP) organised a Peer Support Pharmacist Training Course in the Camden Court Hotel, Dublin.

The two day training course included talks by Dr. Lorraine Horgan of the PSI, Dr. Catriona Bradley, the newly appointed Executive Director of the IIoP and Mr. Liam Ryan of Enovation. The Facilitation and Mentoring coaching was provided by The Training Warehouse, leaders in the learning and development field with over 15 years’ experience of training in healthcare environments.
